iQOO Z6 Lite 5G Performance & Features

iQOO Z6 Lite 5G Performance & Features : iQoo Z6 Lite 5G is at the bottom of the Z6 series in India. It has been launched with two RAM and storage options.

The base 4GB RAM variant with 64GB internal storage is priced at Rs 13,999, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs Rs 15,499. So far, the company has had this laser-focused goal of launching high-performance smartphones, which became an instant hit among India’s young, gaming-oriented population.

iQOO smartphones pack in as much value as possible, but they tend to be pricey considering the kind of performance headroom they offer. iQOO Z6 Lite 5G is the company’s big break in this volume segment. With a starting price of Rs 13,999, the Z6 Lite 5G is here to test the hard waters where the Realmes, Pocos and Redmis of the world are headed.

Packing the new 5G-capable Qualcomm 4 Gen-1 chip along with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, the smartphone ups the competition a bit. But there’s one important area where it freaks out – the charging brick.

iQOO Z6 Lite 5G Design

The iQOO Z6 Lite 5G keeps things relatively simple but contemporary, with a flat edge, square plastic frame and a flat plastic back that we’ve come to see as a 2022 design theme. The only design element that sets it apart is the attractive plastic back.

We got the stellar green color variant, which diffracts light to create shades of purple and blue under dim lighting. Under bright light, the color changes to yellow and green, and the tiny glitter particles on the rear panel become more apparent.

In terms of buttons and port placement, the left side of the phone is completely blank, while the right side houses the volume rocker and power button, which also houses an embedded fingerprint reader.

The front of the iQOO Z6 Lite 5G hosts a 6.58-inch LCD with FHD+ resolution, but the kicker here – 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz sampling rate, is a great feature for this price. While we haven’t been provided with official brightness figures, it is usable under direct sunlight.

Viewing angles are good, color tones are on the slightly cooler side, and because this is an affordable LCD panel, colors aren’t as punchy or vibrant. But the smartphone has Widevine L1 certification, so we can expect full HD playback on the app. Unfortunately, there’s no claimed compliance here with Dolby Vision or HDR, which is something we’d typically expect from a higher price point.

The rectangular cutout at the rear of the iQOO Z6 Lite 5G houses a dual camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On paper, the 50-megapixel sensor seems capable of carrying the entire configuration on its own, but in reality, it falters due to the lack of any sort of stabilization.

As a result, photos appear blurry, no matter how steady you hold your hand. The camera is backed by HDR, which attempts to recover blown out highlights and shadows in harsh light. As a result, the pictures shown in the viewfinder and the photos shown in the final output differ significantly.

The iQOO Z6 Lite 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen-1 SoC, and comes in two storage variants of 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB, the latter of which we got. The difference in price is just Rs 1,500, so we recommend getting the higher version anyway if you can.

The Z6 Lite 5G runs on Android 12 with FuntouchOS 12. Moving to the benchmarks, the iQOO Z6 Lite 5G scored 616 and 1773 single-core and multi-core scores in Geekbench 5. In AnTuTu v9, it posted an overall score of 386485.

iQOO Z6 Lite 5G comes with 5,000mAh battery, but guess what? No charger in the box! This is the corner that iQOO has cut to keep the prices of 5G-enabled smartphones down.

The funny thing is that the box has a slot for a charger, but iQOO hid it with a card that reads, ‘Thank you for contributing towards the planet by reducing carbon emissions.’ But the good thing is that iQOO has not given high expectations with the charging speed, as there is only 18W charging here.
