Toei Looking Into Legal Action Over Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Leaks :- Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is a month into theatrical run in Japan, and apparently so much of the film has leaked online via video that Toei is considering taking legal action against those who uploaded the clip.

Ossum news

Dragon Ball Super: Super Heroes was actually scheduled to release this spring, before finally releasing in theaters overseas this summer. Delayed due to a sudden hacking attack on the studio, the film released with only a short window before its full international launch.

It ended up as still quite an anxious and arduous wait for many people to see it as soon as possible. According to the new report Toei (as detailed by Cinema Today in Japan), the studio found more than 3,000 instances of illegally recorded footage and uploads of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero to platforms such as Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and more.

And ten days later, the film was released in Japan. As Toei points out, this is almost ten times more than the illegal uploads of Dragon Ball Super: Broly four years ago. Now Toei is considering taking legal action, with both civil and criminal cases potentially pending.

Toei notes that they have already reached out to the respective platforms to request the removal of the illegally uploaded footage and leaks, and as fans are aware at this time, copyright laws are more in place in Japan than in the United States.

I am very strict. Recording and distributing footage of a film is equally illegal, but has had some major consequences throughout Japan as there have recently been several notable examples of recording film footage such as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie. – Mugen train lot. So while fans may be eager to watch the film as soon as possible, it may be better to wait patiently.

Thankfully, it won’t be too long until Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero makes its international release debut as the film hits North America on August 19. It will release a day earlier in other regions and in the coming days in other regions but it is still going to be a hot summer for everyone involved.

As for what to expect from the film when it hits, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment officially teased the Dragon Ball Super: Superhero film as follows: “The Red Ribbon Army was once destroyed by Son Goku. Taking the spirit forward, created the ultimate androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. These two androids call themselves “Super Heroes”.
