Vivo X Fold+ with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, Price & Highlights : Vivo X Fold+ debuted the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC in China on Monday, a slight bump from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset included in the standard Vivo X Fold that was launched earlier this year.
This new foldable smartphone from the Chinese tech giant flaunts an 8.03-inch AMOLED inner display and 6.53-inch AMOLED cover display. Vivo X Fold+ packs a 4,730mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
Wired charging was increased to 80W (up form 66W), so now a 70% charge is done in 18 minutes, a full charge takes 35 minutes. The original model also shipped with an 80W charger, but it couldn’t make full use of it (it was only 2 minutes slower from 100% to 100%, though, not a huge loss). Plus the wireless charging remains at 50W.
Vivo X Fold+ Display
The Vivo X Fold Plus comes with the same design as the predecessor, but it brings a new red color offering more vibrancy. The foldable phone flaunts an 8.03-inch primary display with 2K+ (1916 x 2160 pixels) resolution.
It is an AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. There is also a 6.53-inch secondary panel, which is also an AMOLED screen that comes with full-HD+ (1080 x 2520 pixels) resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
Vivo X Fold+ Camera
Vivo X Fold+ sports a quad rear camera setup, which includes a 50MP primary camera, 48MP ultra-wide shooter, 12MP portrait snapper and an 8MP periscope lens. There is a 16MP selfie camera on the front.
The cover display also houses the front-facing camera.For optics, the Vivo X Fold+ sports a quad rear camera setup developed in collaboration with Zeiss, which is highlighted by a 50-megapixel main camera.
There’s also a 48-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 12-megapixel portrait shooter, and an 8-megapixel periscope camera with 5x optical zoom. There is also a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front with f/2.45 aperture. This Vivo smartphone also has a front-facing camera on the external display.
Vivo X Fold+ Performances
Under the hood, Vivo X Fold+ is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It packs up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device draws its power from a 4,730mAh battery unit with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. The foldable phone out of the box runs on OriginOS based on Android 12.

Apart from the chipset, the battery has also got an upgrade. The Plus model has a 4,730mAh capacity (up from 4,600mAh). With a more efficient chipset, the new foldable flagship should last around 2 hours longer while watching videos.

It also comes with 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.2, and NFC support. The smartphone shares most of its specifications with the Vivo X Fold that was launched earlier this year in April.
Vivo X Fold+ Price
Vivo X Fold+ is available for pre-order in China starting today and will go on sale on the 29th. The base 12/256GB model costs CNY 10,000 ($1,400/€1,450/₹114,000), the 12/512GB upgrade is CNY 11,000. For comparison, the original X Fold (12/256GB) launched at CNY 9,000.
