Amber Heard has one of the world’s most beautiful faces, according to science

First described by the ancient Greeks, the Golden Ratio (numerically: 1.618) refers to a formula of proportion that is said to identify the most mathematically complete vision.

British cosmetic surgeon Dr. Julian de Silva shares his reasoning for using digital facial-mapping technology to declare Heard's face as close to perfect as 91.85% - as good as possible.

The Golden Ratio, alternatively represented by the Greek letter Phi (Φ), can be seen in all manner of life and design.

And the closer an object's ratio is to Phi, the more perfectly balanced they appear.

De Silva analyzed 12 dots on Heard's face - using a red carpet image from 2016

To measure between his eyes, nose, lips, chin and overall head to get around 92% marks.

"Greeks found that proportion occurs everywhere in nature"

And for thousands of years it has been believed that this is the secret formula for the most beautiful faces in the world,” the doctor told US Weekly in 2016.

"The phi ratio of 1.618 has long been considered a beauty secret, but now with computer mapping, we can calculate how it applies to real women," he said.
