Gigabyte Aorus 17 (2022) review

The Gigabyte Auras 17 (2022) is a great gaming laptop that can handle almost anything you throw at it at 1080p - be it gaming or creative workloads.

On the positive side of the Ledger, the Auros 17 includes powerful specs, including a new Elder Lake chip and RTX mobile GPU as well as fast memory, lots of storage, and the largest battery legally allowed in the United States.

Batteries are legally allowed in the United States.  This means that as far as Intel Elder Lake gaming laptops with these specs are concerned, it offers some impressive battery life.

There are more powerful pieces of kit out there, but the Aorus 17 is definitely one of the best gaming laptops for the price and easily makes our list of the best 17-inch laptops on the market.

This is especially true when using Gigabyte's Turbo Performance settings.  These unroll everything and really improve performance, but at the cost of letting everyone in the room know that it's working really hard to cool its interior.

There are cool 17-inch gaming laptops with hardware of this caliber, but they're also a lot more expensive.

The Gigabyte Auras 17 (2022), then, is a gaming laptop for those who want pure performance from a gaming laptop first and foremost, with everything else a distant, secondary consideration.
