God of War Ragnarok release date finally confirmed

After anticipation and speculation, PlayStation's upcoming flagship title God of War Ragnarok finally has a November 2022 release date.

God of War Ragnarok is the sequel to 2018's groundbreaking God of War, which served as a soft reboot of the Playstation flagship franchise.

The title took Kratos centuries later to a new cult, the Nordic realm, where, after the death of his wife, he accompanied his son Atreus to the highest summit, meeting friends and enemies on the journey.

Ragnarok, the god of war, will not only continue the exodus of Kratos and Atreus into the Nordic realms, but will also be the final chapter of the Norse saga.

The game was initially revealed only as a title in the 2020 PlayStation 5 State of Play, with gameplay revealed in 2021.

While many titles have been delayed due to the continued impact of the pandemic, Santa Monica Studios has stuck to its 2022 release date.  Today the culmination of his efforts has been seen.

In a PlayStation Blog, Santa Monica Studios announced the release date of God of War Ragnarok as November 9, 2022.

PlayStation also unveiled a new cinematic clip titled "Father and Son", where the two come face to face with Fenrir Wolf, who, according to Nordic mythology, breaks free from his chains and kills Odin, causing  The events of Ragnarok take place.

Calling the title "highly anticipated" Santa Monica Studios and PlayStation haven't fully captured the hype surrounding the title.
