Xiaomi confirms that the Redmi K50i is powered by the Dimensity 8100 chipset
The Redmi K50i is set to launch in India on July 20 (Wednesday next week), meanwhile the company is posting teasers about the phone.
The latest confirms that it will be powered by the Dimensity 8100 chipset.
The Twitter account of Redmi India is all set to promote the K50i and even MediaTek India's Twitter has got in on the action.
A few days back Xiaomi posted the phone's AnTuTu score - 822,274.
Note that the scores are cherry-picked, with some 888 handsets scoring higher, as do the iPhone 13 series with the A15 chipset.
The current speculation is that the Redmi K50 is a branded Redmi Note 11T Pro+.
This phone does indeed use the Dimension 8100 chip. It also has a 6.6” 144Hz IPS LCD (FHD+, 20.5:9)
64+8+2MP rear and 16MP front cameras, a 3.5mm jack
4,400mAh battery with 120W fast charging (0-50% in 10 minutes, 0-100% in 19 minutes).
Of course, the K50i spec sheet may include a few changes as is common with regional variations.
Going back to the rumours, the Redmi K50i is expected to go on sale on July 22 at a price of ₹27,000 for the 6/128GB unit and ₹32,000 for the 8/256GB phone.
